This past month, USA Surfing announced that BSR Surf Resort in Waco, Texas will be the official training facility for the 2018 World Junior Championship Surf Team and the 2020 USA Olympic Surf Team. The news will certainly drive more visitors and surfing enthusiasts to the park's wave pool, food and lodging opportunities, and pro shop.

Its beaches on the Gulf of Mexico generate quality surfing for many Texans and surfers from nearby states. A surf store opening its doors in the midst of cowboy country doesn't sound so far-fetched after all. Surf Ride is simply going where the waves of opportunity take them.

 

Opening one’s doors in a new location can be trying to any retailer’s nerves. But, with the announcement of the US Olympic and World Junior Surf Team coming to Waco, the opportunity to capitalize on the many surfing aficionados drawn by the news will definitely be a wave that Surf Ride will be riding to success.
